Express Yourself!

So my high school is putting on Oliver. Tonight was the third performance. A couple of my friends and I were put in charge of the front-of-house and we were being very quiet. We would whisper/talk to our advisor, the security guard, and the costume helper. We would occasionally giggle.

This show had the most people going in and out through the doors the ENTIRE performance. I have heard from many that it definately was not the best show we have performed; that it in fact has been the worst.

Anyways, all of a sudden the security guard came into the lobby from the theatre saying that our principal's wife (who was helping the costume helper) was getting pissed off at our chatter.

OKAY! FIRST OFF:
WE WERE WHISPERING. WE WERE BEING VERY VERY QUIET. IN FACT, WE WERE TRYING TO SILENCE EVERYONE ELSE!

SECOND OFF:
WE HAD ABOUT SIXTY LITTLE KIDS IN THE SHOW, SO WHEN THEIR SCENES WERE OVER WITH, THEY WOULD RUN OUT INTO THE LOBBY AND START TALKING RATHER LOUDLY TO EACH OTHER. MY FRIENDS AND I WERE TRYING OUR BEST TO TELL THEM TO BE QUIET AT LEAST UNTIL THEY GOT DOWN TO THE CAFETERIA (WHERE WE WERE STORING THESE ANNOYING LITTLE BRATS). THEY WERE SOOOOOOO MUCH LOUDER THAN US!!!!!!!!!!

With five minutes left in the show, the security guard came out a second time telling us that we had to LEAVE! WE (all senior drama club members/officers BTW) had to leave our post and go somewhere else. We were absolutely ripshit. The security guard told us that we had to otherwise we would have to deal with our deans come monday morning. The costume helper also came over and we told her. She said that we WERE being quiet, but once the security guard told her that the principal's wife wanted us gone, she immediatly changed sides and told us that we had to leave.

We ended up being corralled into this room that we call the Pride Room. (It is right across the hall from the auditorium filled with trophies that have been won since the school opened.) They are afraid because it is their boss's wife and I understand that. It's just that there was literally FIVE minutes left in the show.

We texted our advisor to come into the Pride Room so we could bitch to him about. He was on our side, but there is nothing he could do because the principal is also his boss.

I really want to go to the superintendant of schools and tell him about what happened. I hate feeling trapped in a room because we were just having fun which is what you are SUPPOSED to do with an extracurricular.

Seriously, we weren't even being loud at all. It was just that fact that everyone was going in and out through the doors and she was pressed against the doors that she heard us.

I may be bitter, but I feel that I have a right to be.
